Common questions

How Fast We Get to You

Speed matters when something's gone wrong, so here's what to expect once you pick up the phone.

What counts as a plumbing emergency?

Anything where water's actively spreading, you've lost hot water completely, or you can smell gas. A slow drain or a tap that's merely dripping can usually wait for a scheduled visit, but if you're not sure, call and we'll help you work out which one you're dealing with.

What happens after I call?

A real person answers, asks a few quick questions about what's going on, and lets you know roughly when a plumber can get to you. Once on site, we assess the problem and give you a fixed price before anything gets touched.

How do I book?

Call (02) 9054 3067 directly, or use the contact form and we'll call you back. Phone is fastest for anything urgent, since it gets you straight through to someone who can act on it.

Do you work weekends and public holidays?

Yes, every day of the year, including public holidays. The price and the standard of work stay exactly the same no matter when you call.

Common questions

What It Costs to Get It Sorted

Money questions people ask before they commit to a call-out.

What does the $65 off your first service cover?

It's a straightforward discount for anyone booking with us for the first time, applied to the cost of the job itself. Mention it when you call and we'll apply it to your invoice.

Does the price change once you start?

No. The figure you approve before we begin is the figure on the invoice. The one exception is something genuinely unexpected turning up, in which case we stop and quote that separately before going any further.

Do you charge a call-out fee?

No, it's $0 just to have a plumber attend and quote the job. You only pay if you decide to go ahead with the work.

Why isn't the lowest price your main focus?

A rock-bottom quote isn't much good if the fix doesn't hold. We'd rather charge a fair, upfront price for work backed by a lifetime labour warranty than compete purely on being the lowest bidder.

Common questions

Working In and Around Normanhurst

The local questions we hear most, answered with what we actually know about this suburb.

Do you cover the suburbs next to Normanhurst?

Yes. Thornleigh, Hornsby, Wahroonga, Pennant Hills, Waitara and Beecroft are all part of our regular coverage, priced and handled no differently to a job in Normanhurst itself.

Why do Normanhurst's older homes get plumbing emergencies?

A lot of the housing here dates to the Federation era around the original 1895 railway, and that means original clay drainage and galvanised supply pipes are still common. Both fail with age, usually suddenly rather than gradually, which is exactly what an emergency callout looks like.

What suburbs do you service around Normanhurst?

Normanhurst is our home turf, and Hornsby Shire Council's surrounding area is our everyday coverage. If you're unsure whether you're in range, call and we'll confirm straight away.

How local are you, really?

Genuinely local. Loreto Normanhurst, the Sydney Adventist Hospital precinct near Wahroonga, and the shops by the station are all familiar territory, not names we looked up for a website.

Common questions

Licensing, Insurance and Responsibility

The legal and safety questions worth knowing the answer to.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Lic #465156C covers our plumbing work, we're fully insured, and every plumber who attends a job is qualified for what they're doing.

Are your plumbers qualified to work on gas?

Yes, our gas fitters hold their own licence separate to general plumbing. If you smell gas, get outside and call 000 if it's strong, then call us once you're safe.

What is your lifetime labour warranty?

It means our workmanship is guaranteed for life. Should anything we've done give way down the track, we return and correct it, and you won't see a bill for it.

Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or Sydney Water?

There's a clear dividing line: everything on your side, from the house out to where your pipe joins the public main, falls to you. Once it crosses into Sydney Water's infrastructure, that's on them, not you.
